Hi, my name is Tony and my wife, and I are the owners of Thirlmere Pegasus Early Education Centre and I hold a Certificate 3 in Children’s Service. I love surfing, skateboarding, downhill mountain biking and anything that gets my adrenalin pumping. I am a dad of 4 children- Jonah, Eli, Lani and Lilly and am also a stepdad to 4 children Joel, Kyle, Ryan and Amy.
I am mainly in the office doing enrolments, invoices, wages and helping with any enquiries that anyone comes in with. Whilst that keeps me busy I also look after the maintenance and upkeep of preschool. I am a proud Indigenous man and try to bring in the culture of the First Nation people to all my programs, so that all the children (no matter their race, religion or background) are able to learn about this part of Australia’s history. I also have a passion for educating children with additional needs. I love developing the children’s gross motor skills which then helps with their learning in the classroom though creating obstacle courses and playscapes in the backyard to challenge them and enhance their fundamental movement skills.
Recently I have been creating natural spaces in the backyard that are fun and inviting using natural materials like rocks, plants, pebbles, bark, sand, and real grass and trying to avoid plastics as much as I can.
