KADIE

Kadie

Hi, my name is Kadie and work in the Starfish room but enjoy getting to know all the children in our service.

I am a mother of five beautiful children and I have lived in the Wollondilly shire my entire life. I love the community feel that the shire gives.
My partner Grant, kids and myself love bushwalking, fishing and taking our children to sports that they enjoy doing.

I come from a close Indigenous family with three siblings with whom I am still very close to. I attended Thirlmere Primary School for all of my primary years and now my sons and daughter attend. I graduated year twelve at Picton High School obtaining my HSC and had the honour of being School Captain in 1999.

I have obtained my Diploma in Children Services and have a Cert IV in OOSH. I have been involved with Thirlmere Pegasus for quite a number of years – first as a parent and then as an Educator for the past 4 and a half years! I genuinely love coming to work as this is a job I love! The educators and families are like family to me!

Working with children comes naturally to me as I find it extremely rewarding and fulfilling. I value each child as an individual, with unique abilities and interests and believe that all children should be treated equally and each child’s social and cultural background will be acknowledged and respected. I believe that each child’s family knows their child best, so as an Educator, will work in partnerships with families to ensure the best outcomes for their child. My goal is to create a sense of belonging where children can develop self-confidence, feel valued and connected to others.

I really look forward to meeting all the new families here at Thirlmere Pegasus.
