Caitlin Kozlowski

Hello, my name is Caitlin and I am the room leader in the Seahorse room at Pegasus. I have lived in the Wollondilly area with my family since I was 4 years old and have attended local primary and high schools. I have witnessed over the years as our community has developed and grown dramatically in size.

I have been working in childcare since 2008 and hold a Bachelor of Education (0 to 12 years). I love that every day in my job is different as well as the challenges this brings with it. I enjoy working with children from a range of ages as it nice to see the development stages that each year brings. As an educator I aim to provide the children with an environment that they feel safe, secure and welcome in. Through studying at University, one of my main passions and aims in the 4 and 5 year olds room is bridging the gap for children from preschool to the kindergarten classroom. I feel that it is important that the year prior to school helps children to understand the expectations of the classroom and this is what forms our “mini” classroom and school readiness program. One passion that I enjoy incorporating into my teaching is mathematical and scientific concepts and language into the everyday classroom to extend the children’s interests.

My husband, son and I have a house in the Wollondilly shire that we are currently renovating and enjoying spending time all together. We both have a love for camping and holiday adventures with Hunter, our son. We have had many great holidays together including America, several parts of Australia and Fiji.

Over the years I have come to realise the important role that early childhood education plays in young children’s lives and that incorporating our passions and interests into their education helps to shape their program. I look forward to meeting all our new families at the centre and working closely with them to give their child the best possible childcare experience!
