Hi, my name is Birgit and I began working at Pegasus in January 2019.

I am the centre cook and I love engaging with all the children and their parents. It is important to me to make sure that they all have their daily nutritional requirements while ensuring that their taste buds are happy. I love interacting with the parents to understand the preferences of the children.

I am 61 and live Thirlmere with my husband Greg. I have 2 children, Rebecca who is 39 years old and Matthew who has just turned 25.

I also have 3 grandchildren who all attended Pegasus and are now studying in Thirlmere Public School. I have worked in hospitality for many years at several restaurants and worked at Mowbray Farm Stay for 10 years as their food and beverage manager.

I have also worked at several local butchers. Working at Pegasus has been the most rewarding experience that I have ever had and means much more to me than just a job.

I love the children as I get the opportunity to be a kid again while working with them. We love dancing (which I call exercise) and I also read to them. I love being a part of the Pegasus family and we all work together as an integral part of this family.

I look forward to working in this kitchen for many years to come.
